The Open Active iOS App Is Now on the Apple App Store

The Open Active court booking app is now live on the Apple App Store for iOS.
If you play at a club on Open Active, you can download the iOS app, log in, and book courts from your phone—the same flow members already use on Android, now on iPhone and iPad too.

The iOS app is built around what players actually do at a club:
- See real-time court availability and book a session in a few taps
- View your upcoming bookings and club details on the go
- Stay on top of memberships at clubs that use Open Active for member management
No phone call to the clubhouse. No hoping someone checks WhatsApp before your slot disappears.
Why we built for iOS too
When we started on mobile, we launched on Android first. Honestly, I assumed that would cover most of the market—especially in South Africa, where Android dominates phone sales overall.
Talking to club managers and players changed that picture. Again and again, people asked: "Is there an iPhone app?" At tennis clubs in particular, Apple devices seem to be a much bigger share of the market than I expected—committee members, coaches, and regular members often on iPhone.
We didn't want members calling the club because the only option was a browser or another platform. So the iOS app became a priority, not a nice-to-have.
Android and iOS—same platform
Open Active isn't "Android-first" or "iPhone-only." Clubs run one booking system; members use whatever phone they already have.

If your club is on Open Active, point members to the app on whichever store they use. If your club isn't on the platform yet, you can still get started on the web and add mobile booking for your members when you're ready.
