AMEX Eden Club Championships 2026

The Eden Event of the National Club Championships sponsored by American Express was a resounding success! George Tennis Club had a clean sweep across both divisions on Saturday, 18 April 2026.

Congratulations to the winning team of the A Division, the Great Warriors and Runners-up, the George Stingers. Congratulations to the winning team of the B Division, the George String Quartet and the Runners-up, the George Lilies.
Played in fine weather on the George Tennis Club’s tournament standard courts, the event featured 32 players from Eden Affiliated Clubs who showcased their talent and skill while displaying good sportsmanship. Four teams entered in each of the A and B Divisions. The camaraderie amongst the players both on and off the court contributed to a great atmosphere and tournament experience!
Good luck to George Tennis Club’s teams which have advanced to the AMEX Provincial Club Championships scheduled on 06 and 07 June 2026, at the Strand Tennis Club. There they will experience strong opposition from teams of clubs located in the Cape Town and Winelands districts.
