Dunlop Becomes the Official Platform Partner of Open Active

A Partnership Built Around Growing Tennis in South Africa

I'm incredibly proud to announce that Dunlop has become the Official Platform Partner of Open Active.

As the founder of Open Active, this partnership is a significant milestone, not only for our platform but for the journey we've been on to help modernise tennis clubs across South Africa.

The opportunity came about through a friend in the tennis industry who called me and said that Dunlop was looking for new ways to connect with tennis players and clubs. He introduced me to Louise, and we arranged a meeting.

From the very beginning, it was clear we shared a similar vision. It was one of those meetings where the conversation flowed naturally, and you could genuinely feel the excitement about what we could achieve together.

Louise immediately saw the potential of using Open Active's digital platform to reach tennis clubs and players across South Africa, while I could see how partnering with one of the sport's most recognised brands would help us deliver even more value to our clubs. It quickly became obvious that this wasn't simply a sponsorship, but a partnership where both organisations could contribute something meaningful to each other and, more importantly, to the growth of tennis in South Africa.

Today, Open Active serves more than 26 tennis clubs, manages over 150 courts, and connects thousands of active players across South Africa. What started as an idea to simplify court bookings has grown into one of the country's leading tennis club management platforms, helping clubs reduce administration while giving players a modern, seamless booking experience.

A Brand That's Always Supported Tennis

Dunlop has been part of South African tennis for as long as I can remember.

As a league player growing up, I still remember seeing the Dunlop logo on league scoresheets every weekend. Whether it was supporting coaches, clubs or competitions, Dunlop has consistently invested in the game and remained visible within the tennis community.

To now have Open Active working alongside a brand with such a long history in the sport is something I'm genuinely excited about.

What This Means for Clubs

This partnership is only the beginning.

Over the coming months we'll be working together on initiatives designed to bring value to tennis clubs and players, including:

Club promotions and campaigns.
Competitions and player engagement.
Exclusive opportunities for clubs using Open Active.
Marketing initiatives to help grow participation.
Future collaborations that benefit the wider tennis community.

Looking Ahead

Open Active was built with one goal: to make running a tennis club easier while creating a better experience for players.

Partnering with Dunlop is another important step towards that vision.

I'd like to thank Louise and everyone at Dunlop for believing in what we're building. We're looking forward to a long and successful partnership, and most importantly, helping grow tennis in South Africa together.

This is just the beginning.
